Hebe the Cupbearer Statue
* Product price includes a $10.00 surcharge by Fed-Ex for large package size (our shipping calculator does not compute this correctly in the shipping)
HISTORY:   Hebe was the Greek goddess of youth and spring, daughter of Zeus and Hera, a fitting subject for the  sculptor Berta Thorvaldsen, part of the Neoclassical art movement of the late 18th and early 19th Centuries. The Neoclassicists emulated the classic Greek sculptures, believing the Greeks were the only artists who had attained pure beauty.  The original upon which our reproduction is based was created in 1816, and now resides in Denmark's Thorvaldsen Museum.
